Spontaneous Combustion is a 1990 film directed by Tobe Hooper. The plot of this science fiction horror film revolves around a young man with psychokinetic powers. Actor Brad Dourif plays the role of Sam, who learns that his parents were part of an atomic bomb experiment. As an adult, Sam discovers he has the power of pyrokinesis. Director Tobe Hooper was creator of the screenplay and story, with writer Howard Goldberg. Zachary Selig, a... spiritist, was the consultant of paranormal phenomena for Hooper and the film.
