Saint Augustine in His Study is the subject of two paintings by the Italian Renaissance master Sandro Botticelli. The first, executed in 1480, is in the church of Ognissanti in Florence. The other is in the Uffizi, also in Florence. The work was commissioned by the Vespucci family together with a Saint Jerome in His Study by Domenico Ghirlandaio. Both depicted two Doctors of the Church in their studies, with a number of objects which should mark their role as precursors of Humanism.
