St. Ives is a 1976 American action film directed by J. Lee Thompson and starring Charles Bronson. Abner Procane, top L.A. burglar, finds that somebody stole his plans for his next ambitious heist. He hires Raymond St. Ives, crime books writer, to negotiate the return of those documents. This was the first of many films for both Charles Bronson and J. Lee Thompson. After this film, they worked on other action films, including a few that had very dark themes which interested some critics. They teamed for other films, including The Evil That Men Do, Death Wish 4, and Messenger of Death.
