Spirits soar when Kim discovers a wormhole (a space tunnel) that could lead the Voyager home. Further investigation shows the hole to be too fragile for the starship to traverse, so the crew sends forth a probe to discover its terminus. A Romulan ship in the Alpha Quadrant (on the other side of the tunnel) detects the vessel and contact between the two ships is established. Can the crew find a way home before the wormhole collapses, or will a shocking revelation doom their plans? Originally televised 2/20/95.
