Darth Vader is the central character of the Star Wars saga, appearing as one of the main antagonists of the original trilogy and as the main... protagonist of the prequel trilogy. The character was created by George Lucas and numerous actors have portrayed him. His appearances span all six Star Wars films, and he is an important character in the expanded universe of television series, video games, novels, literature and comic books. The films establish that there was originally a Jedi Knight named Anakin who fell to the dark side of the Force; he is also revealed to be the father of both Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa, the two main protagonists of the original trilogy. After turning to the Dark Side of the Force, Vader is a ruthless henchman of Emperor Palpatine who secretly intends to overthrow Palpatine to establish himself as ruler of the Empire. Vader is ultimately redeemed in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, when he sacrifices himself to save his son, Luke. While the first draft of The Star Wars includes a tall, grim general named Darth Vader, the character came closer in line with his final depiction in the second revision.

Bail Organa is a fictional character from the Star Wars universe, played in Star Wars Episodes II and III by Jimmy Smits. Stephen Elliott provided... the voice of Bail Organa in the 1981 radio adaptation of Episode IV: A New Hope. Bail Prestor Organa is the Viceroy and Prince of the planet Alderaan, the husband of Queen Breha Organa, and Princess Leia Organa's adoptive father. In the waning days of the Old Republic, he also serves as Alderaan's representative in the Galactic Senate, succeeded later by the adult Leia. Organa is mentioned in the Expanded Universe many times. A scene involving him was scripted but cut from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Senator Organa seconded Queen Amidala of Naboo's vote of no confidence in Chancellor Valorum, paving the way for Senator Palpatine to become Supreme Chancellor. As a prominent member of the Senate's Loyalist Committee, Organa realizes early on that the Separatists are a serious threat, and are going down a path that could only lead to war. He reluctantly approves of granting vast emergency powers to Chancellor Palpatine.

Starkiller, also known as Galen Marek and the Apprentice, is the main character of the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed project , who first appeared in... the game Soulcalibur IV. He is voiced by Sam Witwer, who also gave his likeness to the character. After Darth Vader kills Galen's father, he is raised by Vader and is made his secret apprentice, under the name "Starkiller". He is potent with using the Force for destructive purposes, with Witwer describing him as less of an assassin and more of a "Force wrecking ball". After Starkiller's supposed sacrificial death in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, he is either resurrected or cloned by Darth Vader in order to be his secret apprentice again. Starkiller escapes from the cloning facility, and at the end of The Force Unleashed II he captures and imprisons Darth Vader. The character's name is taken from Star Wars creator George Lucas' working name for Luke Skywalker, "Annikin Starkiller"; the character is designed to be a "photo-negative" of Skywalker.
