Statesboro

The Bulloch County Courthouse is a historic courthouse that is located in downtown Statesboro, Georgia. It was built in 1894 to house the county... government. On September 18, 1980, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Bulloch County was officially established on February 8, 1796. Bryan and Screven counties were the two counties that Bulloch County was created from by an act of the Georgia General Assembly. Bulloch County was named after Archibald Bulloch who was Georgia’s first provisional governor from 1776 to 1777. In 1796 three men were appointed to be commissioners: Drury Jones, John Mikell and Israel Bird. They were in charge of finding a proper place to build the courthouse and the jail. In May 1797 the first Superior Court was held in Bulloch County at Stephen Mills’ home and continued to be held there until the courthouse was built. The fourth Mondays in April and October were the only two days that the superior court met each year. The inferior court, however, met every first Monday of the month. When Bulloch County first started having court, there were no local lawyers or judges.

J.I. Clements Stadium is a baseball venue located in Statesboro, Georgia, USA. It is home to the Georgia Southern University Eagles college baseball... team of the Division I Southern Conference. It has a capacity of 3,000 spectators and opened in 2005. The facility is named after former Georgia Southern baseball coach J.I. Clements. Clements coached the Eagles from 1949-1966 and 1968, leading the team to the 1962 NAIA National Championship. Clements died in 1984, and the Eagles' former venue was named in his honor in 1985. The name was carried over when the new stadium opened in 2005. The park hosted its first game on February 12, 2005. Georgia Southern lost to #13 Georgia Tech 10-6. The game's attendance was 2,805. On February 22, 2011, the Eagles took on #21 Georgia Tech, and J.I. Clements Stadium saw a then-record crowd of 3,088 people. The Eagles won the game 6-5 on a walk-off walk by Victor Roache. On February 22, 2012, the Eagles hosted Georgia Tech and set a new single-game record attendance of 3,258. Georgia Tech won the game by a score of 11-9. In 2011, the Eagles ranked 36th in Division I college baseball in attendance, averaging 1,631 per home game.

Sutton Lenore Foster is an American actress, singer, and dancer. Foster has received two Tony Awards, in 2002 for her role of Millie Dillmount in... Thoroughly Modern Millie and in 2011 for her role of Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes. Her other Broadway credits include Little Women, The Drowsy Chaperone, Young Frankenstein and Shrek the Musical. She also is starring in the upcoming television series Bunheads. Foster was born in Statesboro, Georgia and raised in Troy, Michigan. At age fifteen, she was a contestant on the television show Star Search and also auditioned for the cast of The Mickey Mouse Club. She left Troy High School before graduating to join the national tour of The Will Rogers Follies directed by Tommy Tune. She then attended Carnegie Mellon University for one year, but left to pursue a theatrical career full-time. May 2012, she received an honorary doctorate from Ball State University. Her brother is actor Hunter Foster. Foster's first Broadway role was as an understudy for Sandy Dumbrowski in Grease in 1996. She then appeared in The Scarlet Pimpernel and as Star to Be in Annie in 1997.

Daniel Richard "Danny" McBride is an American stand-up comedian, actor, producer, screenwriter, and voice artist. In 2006, he played one of the lead... roles in the low-budget comedy film The Foot Fist Way, which he wrote with friends and frequent collaborators Jody Hill and Ben Best. McBride appeared as a guest on Late Night with Conan O'Brien on February 26, 2008 as the character Fred Simmons of The Foot Fist Way and advertised the new soft drink flavor "mountain mist" for Gatorade. McBride has appeared in the comedy films Hot Rod, The Heartbreak Kid, Pineapple Express, Tropic Thunder, Observe and Report, Due Date, and Your Highness. He currently writes and stars in the HBO comedy Eastbound & Down, about a washed up former major league baseball pitcher with anger management issues, also a collaboration with Hill and Best. The series is produced by Gary Sanchez Productions and the pilot episode premiered February 15, 2009. It features guest appearances from frequent collaborators Will Ferrell and Craig Robinson. On April 8, 2009, HBO announced it had renewed the series for a second season.
