Chang Chen is a Taiwanese actor, born in Taipei, Taiwan. His name is sometimes seen in the Western order . He is the son of a Taiwanese actor Chang... Kuo Chu and brother of a Taiwanese actor, Chang Han . Chang Chen started his film career at a very young age. He was then selected by a Taiwanese director Edward Yang to be the protagonist of his 4-hour critically acclaimed film A Brighter Summer Day . Coincidentally, his father, Chang Kuo Chu, had also participated in this film and acted as his character's father. In the Ang Lee film, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, he played Lo "Dark Cloud" / Luo Xiao Hu, the lover of Zhang Ziyi's character, Jen. He also appeared in the Wong Kar-wai film 2046 as the boyfriend to Carina Lau's character Mimi / Lulu. Chang also appeared opposite Shu Qi in Hou Hsiao Hsien's Three Times , which was nominated for the Palme d'Or at Cannes and won Golden Horse accolades for Best Taiwanese film, among other awards. Yeh's singing career started in the early 1980s and gradually became a memorable diva whose career has expanded for three decades with a total of thirty albums, plus forty-odd compilations and live recordings. Yeh speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. Her jazz-trained vocals allow her to handle a wide range of musical genres. Shu Qi is the stage name of a Taiwanese actress born Lin Li-Hui . Her stage name is occasionally romanized as Hsu Chi or Shu Kei . Her name is... sometimes seen in the Western order as Qi Shu. Born in Xindian, Taipei County , the young Shu Qi moved to Hong Kong at the age of 17. She began in the softcore porn modelling industry, appearing on the cover of Penthouse Hong Kong for February 1995 issue and the Chinese edition of Playboy magazine. She eventually came under the management of Hong Kong producer Manfred Wong, who signed her on to several softcore Hong Kong films such as Sex & Zen II in 1996. Pressure from her parents led her to take piano classes, ballet lessons, tap dancing classes, Chinese folk dancing classes, cello lessons, speed contests, SAT classes and attend Chinese school. Alec Su is a Taiwanese pop star and versatile actor in films and television dramas. He became famous as a member of the Taiwanese Idol Band The... Little Tigers, formed in 1988, and later for his first Chinese TV series Princess Returning Pearl . Alec Su's career started in 1988, at the age of 15, when he joined the Little Tigers trio. The band was the first idol singing group that debuted in the Taiwanese music industry and Alec was labelled as the "obedient tiger." The group's popularity was unprecedented; the Little Tigers attracted fans from Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, and amongst Chinese communities around the world. The success of the band began the new generation of Taiwanese pop culture in the early 1990s. In 2010, the Little Tigers were invited to participate in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, in which they sang a medley of three of their biggest hits and won accolades as the "favorite singing group" for the event. Apart from being a popular singer, during this period Su was epitomized by the general public as a superior student.
