Takeshi Kaneshiro , born October 11, 1973, is a half Taiwanese and half Japanese singer and actor of mixed heritage – his father is Japanese and his mother is Taiwanese of Chinese descent. He speaks Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Taiwanese Hokkien and English. Kaneshiro is a common Okinawan family name. In kanji, 金城 is Kaneshiro and 武 is Takeshi , with Japanese readings.
