What interested you about Juggle?
I was interested in Juggle because of the necessary and important role that every team member plays. Juggle gives you the chance to work side by side wonderful people with extraordinary talents. Everyone is accounted for and brings value to the company every day. It's very fulfilling to see my work make an impact on something much greater than myself.
Why is Juggle is a unique opportunity?
The Juggle atmosphere has an attitude of its own that you can't find anywhere else. I'm not sure if it is the Jelly Belly machine or the Super Mario display that sets the tone for the office, but the term "work hard play hard" really comes into effect. Every day is a new adventure that provides flavorful jelly beans and hands on opportunities that most other interns don't get.

Why would you recommend working at Juggle?
Juggle has an amazing culture. The Juggle team is comprised of highly intelligent, hard working, goal oriented individuals. Each member’s contribution to the company is valued. Juggle team members are encouraged to contribute new ideas to better the organization and our product. Anyone who is a team player , is willing to work, and is a “self-starter” will have a chance to learn and advance within the company. They will also have an opportunity to enjoy the close social network. Juggle is also a fun place to work.

What were you doing the first time you used a computer?
I was making my living as a farmer along the Oregon Trail on an Apple IIe in grade school. I successfully crossed a ford, but thieves attacked my wagon train and I died from dysentery shortly thereafter.
Which parts of your work at Juggle do you like the most?
I don't favor so much one particular aspect, but rather the general environment in which we operate. Our equipment is top notch, we use the latest and greatest software and tools, our server environment is cutting edge, our development processes are tuned for velocity, and we are given a great deal of autonomy. In total, these aspects give us a development path with few obstacles to creating high quality, scalable software in a very short window of time. To be honest, I feel spoiled at times.

Have you achieved a #1 ranking for any game on XBOX Live?
Yes, twice actually! - #1 on "Paula Abdul - Straight Up" and #1 on "Lady Gaga - Poker Face" on Lips.
What was your impression of Juggle on your first day of work?
At the time, it was such a small staff trying to accomplish so much. Since I worked from home for a few months before moving up to Illinois, it was a change to be in the office and be able to reach out and bug someone. Being around such a diverse set of people with a diverse set of skills really allows you to find help when you have a problem.

Do you learn more when you win or when you lose?
Even though I love winning (who doesn’t), I learn more when I lose. When you lose it requires you to reflect on what you did wrong so you can make corrections in the future to better yourself.
If you had three wishes what would they be?
1. Hands down to make sleeping optional. Sometimes there just isn't enough time in a day to accomplish everything I want and it would be nice to be able to skip sleeping so I could have more time. Also I require 8 hours of sleep to be fully functional and it would be nice to not walk around like a zombie on days I don’t get 8 hours. 2. To have the ability to teleport with the caveat that I could also teleport anyone I want with me (if you can’t bring someone with you, teleportation just wouldn’t as useful). I could decide that I am sick of the cold St. Louis weather and spend the day on a beach anywhere in the world and be back in time for dinner. 3. To never suffer from any illness or disease again. To feel good everyday is something that can’t be beat.
What is your favorite part of the Juggle office?
This probably would not come as a surprise to the people who know me, but my favorite part of the Juggle office is the workout room. Whether I am training for my next half marathon or trying to burn off the many delicious foods that I know I shouldn’t be eating, I try to make use of it daily. I find myself more productive after taking 30 minutes in the afternoon getting a good workout in.

Which three objects would you save if your house caught on fire?
That's easy. My purse, laptop, and any and all of the wine I could carry out of my house. I figure I might as well be able to numb the pain of watching my house and most of my life burn down by drinking copious amounts of wine.
What's the best junk food ever created?
Sticking strictly to food that is sold in a grocery store, I am huge fan of Red Hot Riplets which are a brand of chips made and only sold locally here in the St. Louis area. They are spicy, crunchy and have a little sweetness to them. Apparently I am not the only one who thinks this since Esquire Magazine once included them in their "Best Potato Chips You've Never Tasted" list. I probably buy at least one bag every time I go to the store regardless of my reason for shopping in the first place.
What is your favorite company event and why?
This is a tough one to answer because each year we have a few unique events that pop up because of some opportunity we have at that time. In terms of recurring events I would have to say the Holiday Party because it is usually a theme party where everyone dresses up and looks completely ridiculous. We also have an open bar and beer pong tournaments have been known to take place. I can assure you that not a single venue where we have had a Holiday Party has been been prepared for our group. When we use the term "party", we mean it.

If you could, would you rather live in a boat, a tree house, an igloo or a teepee?
I would choose a boat – I could travel the world, become an amazing swimmer and get a fantastic tan.
Who is one of your heroes and why do they inspire you?
Jane Austen is someone I admire very much. She dared to write about topics that were deemed wrong for female authors and put her own life and happiness on hold to do so. It took a tremendous amount of courage to defy every person around her; I strive every day to have that sort of gumption.
What makes Juggle unique as a company?
While the office is certainly unique, the people and the work ethic make this company unlike any other. All of us here are extremely passionate about what we do and take great pride in the work we produce. Every project I’ve done here has been different; I’ve never been bored or felt like I was settling at a job that I despised.

Favorite 80's cartoon:
Based on toy count I would say Transformers, however I have not seen the movies.
Do you know the eye color of each of your family members?
Yes, I believe so.
What do you remember about your first day of school?
I wanted to leave as soon as I got there and I remember my Dad convinced me to stay by promising to sit at the back of the classroom. I ending up really enjoying it and did not notice when he snuck out the back door.
How have you grown through working at Juggle?
I have been able to contribute in many different capacities at Juggle. Seeing firsthand the amount of work and dedication that goes into building a business has been the biggest learning experience.

Favorite Movie
It’s a tossup between 50 First Dates and Pretty Woman, but in the end, I just have to go with the movie that turned an escort into a role model for young women everywhere.
Which wild animal would you like to tame and keep as a pet?
I would love to have a Walrus. I would name him Jocko and keep him in my apartment and talk to him while I bathe.
What personality trait has gotten you in the most trouble?
I never back down from a challenge--a trait I attribute to growing up with two older brothers—and it’s certainly gotten me into my fair share of trouble. It’s had me fighting to hold down the last, agonizing gulp of a 24oz. jar of spaghetti sauce; it’s given me battle scars from the black diamond ski slope that I tried to tackle as a beginner; and it’s had me very nearly thrown off a cruise ship, which would have made the inciting $5 bet decidedly not worth it.
What is your favorite part of the Juggle office?
I was very tempted to say that the ping pong tables were my favorite: there’s nothing quite like taking an afternoon break to handily crush the CEO and President in an impromptu round-robin tournament. But when I think about it, really, I think I’d put the open office layout above even that. It’s very nice to be able to spin your chair and immediately hash out a problem with the person next to you.

What's the best dessert ever created?
I'm a sucker for anything chocolate. If it's got the words "molten," "mousse," or "mudslide" in it, I'm in. There more chocolate you can cram into something the better, whether it be cake, ice cream, or otherwise... If there was some sort of beer bong made for chocolate, made of chocolate (so it's edible), that would probably be my favorite dessert...someday.
If you had three wishes what would they be?
1. To own a mastiff (minus the drool & enormous dumps).
2. Have a small mariachi band follow me around to "pep" up social situations & awkward moments.
3. Have a full bar with eight beer taps at work.
What do you tell your friends about Juggle culture?
It's an incredible environment that's as challenging as it is fun. It's hard to describe an environment where hard work is broken up by furious foosball tournaments, massages, and occasionally a celebratory "Vegas Bomb" shot (ala Zac). The sense of accomplishment that comes from working in a focused team and contributing towards exciting goals is what makes it great.
