Marc Tarpenning is an American entrepreneur. He is a co-founded Tesla Motors together with fellow entrepreneur, Martin Eberhard.

Kimbal Musk is an entrepreneur who has helped found, advise and invest in several software and technology companies. He is the owner of The Kitchen... restaurant in Boulder, Colorado. Musk sits on the board for Tesla Motors, OneRiot, and SpaceX, and the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship. After finishing high school in Pretoria, South Africa, Musk left to meet his mother in Toronto, Canada and enrolled in college to pursue a degree in business at Queen's University. While in school, Musk first worked at Scotiabank, and then bought into a franchise for College Pro Painters. He graduated with his degree from Queens University in 1995. In 1995, he and his elder brother, Elon Musk started their first company, Zip2. Zip2 was an early content management company for the internet, and was the first to provide maps and door-to-door directions on the internet. Zip2 built online restaurant and city guides around the world in partnership with over 100 major media companies, including the New York Times. The company was sold in 1999 to Compaq for $307 million, one of the largest transactions of its kind in the internet industry.

Steven Paul Westly is an American venture capitalist and politician. He was the State Controller and Chief Financial Officer of California from 2003... to 2007 and was one of the top candidates in the Democratic primary for Governor of California in the 2006 election. He was defeated in the Democratic primary by California State Treasurer Phil Angelides, who later lost to Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in the November 2006 elections. During the 2008 Presidential Election, Westly served as California Campaign Co-chair for Obama for America and also as a member of Obama for America's national finance committee. Westly was briefly considered for a cabinet level position in the Obama administration. Currently, Westly is a Managing Partner at The Westly Group, a clean technology venture capital firm he founded. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Westly received an A.B. in history from Stanford University in 1978, where he served as student body co-president. He received an M.B.A. in Public Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1983. He married Anita Yu , an immigrant from Hong Kong, in 1997.
