Most recently, Texas Tech University School of Law placed fourth amongst all Texas law schools on the July 2011 Bar Examination, with a first-time pass rate of 90.51 percent.

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center offers programs in Allied Health Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy.... TTUHSC's main campus is in Lubbock, but campuses are also located in Abilene, Amarillo, Dallas, El Paso and the Permian Basin. Aside from its teaching and research activities, it provides medical services to more than 100 counties, a geographic region larger than most states, as well as to all Texas Department of Corrections facilities in the western portion of Texas. TTUHSC is a separate but equal institution from Texas Tech University, and both universities are part of the Texas Tech University System. The Texas Tech University School of Medicine was created by the 61st Texas Legislature in May 1969 as a multi-campus institution with Lubbock as the administrative center and with regional campuses at Amarillo, El Paso, and the Permian Basin. In 1979, the charter was expanded to become the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, leading the way for establishment of the Schools of Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.

Established in 1942, Texas Tech's business school was originally known as the Division of Commerce. In 1956, the school was renamed the College of Business Administration. Following a $25 million gift from alumnus Jerry S. Rawls in 2000, the school was formally renamed the Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration. The college is organized into five areas of study: Accounting, Finance, Information Systems & Quantitative Sciences, Management, and Marketing. The Rawls College also offers dual degrees in conjunction with architecture, agriculture, foreign language, law, medicine, pharmacy, and environmental toxicology.

The Wind Science and Engineering Research Center at Texas Tech University is an interdisciplinary research center focused on education and... information outreach. Its goals are to exploit the useful qualities of wind and to mitigate its detrimental effects. The Center offers an education in wind science and engineering to develop professionals who are experts in design for windstorms and wind-induced effects. Currently the WISE Center is composed of approximately 25 faculty associates from 7 academic departments, 4 research associates, 8 professional staff and 40 graduate students. It is also the home to the only Wind Science and Engineering doctorate program. The Wind Science and Engineering Research Center was established in 1970, following the Lubbock Tornado that caused 26 fatalities and over $100 million in damage. Following the aftermath of the tornado the WISE center developed the first comprehensive wind engineering report of its kind. The Texas Tech campus hosts the center's administrative offices as well as the Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel and Wind Library. The Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel is a closed wind tunnel offering a 1.8 metres by 1.
