The Bridge of Silvers Wings is arguably Aberjhani's most ambitious collection of poetry in terms of both its style and substance. The book was written from 2006-2007 following the death of the author's mother. Many of the poems reflect the spiritual sensitivity and depths of grief that often follow painful losses but they also go beyond these and give readers a broader reading experience on the physical and spiritual dimensions of human existence. Nearly half these poems take their names from angels closer to literary inventions than to the classic religious archetypes most people are... familiar with. These have names like "Angel of Hope's Persistent Flight," "Angel of War," "Angel of Healing: for the Living, the Dying, and the Praying," and "Angel of Remembrance: Candles for September 11, 2001." There are also angels named for different holidays. The triumph is in the contrast of these angel poems written in a "haiku-influenced" style with earthier ones composed in free verse that sing of human sensuality, betrayal, and biographical sketches. The author's immersion into metaphysical realms combined with stylistic versatility have drawn comparisons to the Lebanese author Kahlil Gibran and Prague poet Rainer Maria Rilke. There are at least two editions of this book and one is titled The Bridge of Silver Wings 2009.
