Junior Boy's Own is a London, UK-based record label Terry Farley joined Andrew Weatherall, Cymon Eckel, Pete Heller and Steven Hall to form Boy's Own Recordings , then in 1992 Terry Farley and Steven Hall began Junior Recordings Ltd., which started to use the label Junior Boy's Own. The label is... sometimes known as JBO. Weatherall left to start his label and band Sabres of Paradise. Junior Boy's Own specializes in dance music, with Underworld and The Chemical Brothers as its most successful artists.

Electronic music is music that employs electronic musical instruments and electronic music technology in its production. Today electronic music includes many varieties and ranges from experimental art music to popular forms such as electronic dance music. The ability to record sounds is often connected to the production of electronic music, but not absolutely necessary for it. The earliest known sound recording device was the phonautograph, patented in 1857 by Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville. It could record sounds visually, but was not meant to play them back.
