The Honeymooners is a 2005 family comedy film directed by John Schultz, which, unlike the original television series, stars an African American cast featuring Cedric the Entertainer, Gabrielle Union, Mike Epps, and Regina Hall. It is based on the TV series of the same name. The film was panned by critics . The Kramdens and the Nortons are working-class neighbors, with bus driver Ralph Kramden and sewage worker Ed Norton being best friends. They are constantly coming up with new schemes to get rich quick, with Ralph being the mastermind. The driving forces behind their get-rich-quick schemes... are their wives, Trixie and Alice , and both Ralph and Ed are trying to make enough money so they can afford the homes they think they deserve. While they are trying to achieve this, Alice and Trixie make ends meet by waitressing at the local diner. The film received mainly negative reviews from critics and movie-goers alike. It currently holds a "Rotten" 14% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
