The Walt Disney Company

Roy Oliver Disney was, with his younger brother, Walt Disney, the co-founder of what is now The Walt Disney Company. Roy was born to Irish-Canadian Elias Disney and German-American Flora Call Disney in Chicago, Illinois. Roy served in the US Navy from 1917–19; a year later his brother Walt... tried joining the US Army, only being refused due to being under age. Roy was later discharged from military duty after suffering an injury, and became a banker in Los Angeles. In 1923, Walt moved to Hollywood, joining Roy, together founding the Disney Bros Studio. Roy and Walt ordered and built kit houses from Pacific Ready Cut Homes and in 1928, they built their homes side by side on Lyric Avenue. Their homes were slightly customized and enlarged, and do not exactly match the original homes featured in the Pacific Ready Cut Homes catalogs. While Walt was the creative man, Roy was the one who made sure the company was financially stable; Roy and Walt both founded Disney Studios as brothers, but Walt would buy out most of Roy's share in 1929 and, unlike Max and Dave Fleischer of rival Fleischer Studios, Roy was not a co-producer.

Robert W. Matschullat is a private equity investor, and served from October 1995 until June 2000 as Vice Chairman of the board of directors of The... Seagram Company Ltd. He also served as Chief Financial Officer of Seagram until December 1999. Prior to joining Seagram, Matschullat was head of worldwide investment banking for Morgan Stanley and was on the Morgan Stanley Group board of directors. He was the Presiding Director of the Board of Directors of the Clorox Company from January 2005 to March 7, 2006, and was director of McKesson Corporation from October 2002 to July 25, 2007.. Matschullat has been a Director of The Walt Disney Company since 2002. He also joined Visa Inc's Board of Directors in October 2007.

Aylwin B. Lewis is an African American businessman. He is formerly the interim Chief Executive Officer and President of Sears Holdings Corporation... and currently the CEO of Potbelly Sandwich Works. Sears Holdings was created in connection with the merger of Kmart and Sears, which was completed on March 24, 2005. The company generates approximately $55 billion in annual revenues and includes approximately 3,900 full-line and specialty retail stores and related service businesses in the United States and Canada. Lewis joined Kmart as President and Chief Executive Officer on October 18, 2004 from Yum! Brands, where he was President, Chief Multi-Branding and Operating Officer. He was a 13-year veteran of YUM! Brands, and was in the restaurant industry for 26 years, beginning his career as a Restaurant General Manager and rising through the ranks to his most recent position at YUM! Lewis is also a member of the Board of Directors of The Walt Disney Company and Halliburton. He holds the following academic degrees: BA in English , BS in hotel and restaurant management , and an MBA —all from the University of Houston.
