There's Something About Mary is a 1998 comedy film, directed by the Farrelly brothers, Bobby and Peter. It stars Cameron Diaz, Matt Dillon and Ben Stiller, and it is a combination of romantic comedy and gross-out film. Awkward and shy 16-year-old high-schooler Ted Stroehmann lands a prom date with his dream girl Mary Jensen, just to have it cut short by a painful and embarrassing zipper accident involving his penis and ends up going to the hospital. After that, they lose touch with each other. Thirteen years later, Ted is still in love — maybe even obsessed — with her.
