Tijuana

The Estadio Caliente, is a multi-use stadium in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, that is mostly used for football matches. The stadium hosts home... matches for the Mexican professional football team Club Tijuana, who play in the Primera División de México, Mexico's First Division. The stadium was opened on November 2007, according to schedule. The stadium originally had a capacity of 13,333. On March 2008, the capacity was increased to 33,333. Stadium owner Jorge Hank Rhon's main reason for constructing the stadium was his wish to have a professional soccer club in the city. Because the Mexican Football Federation says that teams participating in the First Division must have a stadium with a capacity over 15,000, Club Tijuana officially became qualified for promotion to the Primera División de México when the capacity was increased. The construction of the stadium was planned in two parts. The first part finished the ground and lower sections of the stadium. In the second phase, the stadiums capacity was increased. The stadium was officially inaugurated on November 11, 2007, in a game between Club Tijuana vs Pumas Morelos.

Érik Isaac Morales Elvira is a Mexican professional boxer. He is the first Mexican-born boxer in history to win world titles in four different... weight classes. He is a former WBC Light Welterweight Champion, WBC & IBF Super Featherweight, WBC Featherweight and WBC & WBO Super Bantamweight Champion. Morales has defeated 15 different world champions during the course of his career. He is famous for his trilogies with fellow Mexican legend three-division champion Marco Antonio Barrera and Filipino octuple champion Manny Pacquiao. He is also the last boxer to beat Pacquiao. He ranks #49 on ESPN's 50 Greatest Boxers Of All Time. Erik Morales was born in the Zona Norte section of Tijuana. Under the tutelage of his father, José Morales, a fighter himself, Erik started boxing at the age of 5 and amassed a very impressive amateur career that saw him fight 114 times and win 11 major titles in Mexico. Morales made his professional debut at the age of 16, by knocking out Jose Orejel in two rounds.

Ana Gabriel is a Mexican singer and composer. Ana Gabriel was born as María Guadalupe Araujo Yong, in Santiago de Comanito, Sinaloa, Mexico.... She first sang on the stage at age six, singing "Regalo A Dios" by José Alfredo Jiménez. She moved to Tijuana, Baja California and studied accounting. At age 21, in 1977, she recorded her first song, titled "Compréndeme". During her long career, she has hits in three different genres of music: rock en español, Latin Pop, and rancheras. In 2006 she received the Lo Nuestro award's "Premio a la Excelencia" . In 1988 Gabriel released her first album, Tierra de Nadie, followed by Pecado Original in 1989, which met with some chart success. Her 1990 album Quien Como Tu made her a force within the Mexican music industry. Eight months later, her live album En Vivo showcased her powerful stage act and scored several hits: "Hice Bien Quererte", "Propuesta", and "Solamente una Vez". Throughout the 1990s Gabriel released an album almost every year. A versatile singer, she showcased her talent as an interpreter of many different musical styles, from lambada to mariachi and romantic ballads to pop music.

Asistencia Asesoría y Administración under the ring name Nicho el Millonario, as a new Psicosis took over the former name. Castellanos has performed for World Wrestling Entertainment, World Championship Wrestling, Extreme Championship Wrestling, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, and Xtreme Pro Wrestling as well as a variety of Mexican and American independent promotions. He was the shortest reigning WCW Cruiserweight Champion with a reign that lasted less than an hour. Castellanos debuted as "El Salvaje," after being trained by Rey Misterio, Sr. and his brother, Fobia. He often teamed with Fobia and wore face paint. In March 1989, Castellanos would begin wrestling as "Psicosis" for the local promotion in his native Baja California, where some of his biggest feuds pit him against El Hijo del Santo and Rey Mysterio, Jr. He would eventually wrestle Mysterio Jr. over five hundred times throughout this career, according to Joey Styles at ECW One Night Stand.

Lynda Aguirre Thomas is a singer, songwriter and producer formerly known professionally as Lynda, born on December 21, 1981, in Tijuana, Baja... California, Mexico. She was first discovered by producers Carlos Lara and Tino Geizer during a singing contest, Fantasia Musical, in 1989. In 1996 she recorded her first album, Lynda, which contained three singles, "Gira que gira", "Blue Jeans" and "El amor no tiene edad". Her second album was released in 1997, Un grito en el corazón. During her absence, Lynda Thomas decided to move to Los Angeles, California. There she took English and music lessons. "Mi Día De La Independencia" was the title of her third album. Released in mid-1999, this new musical production offered Lynda Thomas the opportunity to branch out and experiment with different genres and musical styles. At least four singles from "Mi Dia De La Independencia" became hits. "Maldita Timidez", "No Quiero Verte", "Corazón perdido" and "Mi Día de la Independencia" are the names of the songs that helped Lynda Thomas reach new levels of success in her young career. In the year 2000 Lynda Thomas was involved in the production of a telenovela with the title Primer Amor: A mil por hora.

Julieta Venegas Percevault , known professionally as Julieta Venegas, is a Mexican singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and producer, who sings... pop-rock in Spanish. She speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish fluently. She has a twin sister, Yvonne, who is a photographer. Venegas grew up in Tijuana and began studying music at the age of eight. She went on to join several bands including Mexican ska band Tijuana No!. She plays several instruments including acoustic guitar, accordion, and keyboard. She has won five Latin Grammys and one Grammy Award among other awards. She has composed music for theater and performed in soundtracks for dozens of movies. In 1997, she released her debut album Aquí to favorable reviews in Mexico by the rock audience. In later years she positioned herself as one of the most prominent songwriters in Latin pop by achieving fame in 2003 in Latin America and Spain with the album Sí and singles "Andar Conmigo" and "Algo Está Cambiando" which were positioned at the top of Latin Billboard. In 2006, she released her most successful album Limón y Sal which is her best-selling album to date.

Miguel Ángel López Díaz, better known as his ring name Rey Misterio, Sr. is a Mexican professional wrestler, trainer and actor. He is... the uncle of well-known luchador Rey Mysterio, Jr. His name directly translates to "Mystery King" in English. He was one of the top stars and promoters in Mexico throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Misterio first began training to be a boxer, but after his body got bigger, he took a lot of bumps and lost some of his punching ability. When his trainers told him that he could still punch hard, they told Mysterio about wrestling. His brother soon began to take him to train for wrestling and lucha libre. On the sixth of January 1976, Mysterio finally made his debut as a wrestler on a show called "Day of the Kings", or Día de los Reyes. He appeared at World Championship Wrestling's Starrcade 1990 pay-per-view event where he teamed with Konnan and competed in the "Pat O'Connor Memorial International Cup" representing Mexico. In the first round the team defeated Chris Adams and Norman Smiley representing the United Kingdom, but lost to The Steiner Brothers in the second round. In 1987, Misterio opened a gym with Negro Casas and Super Astro.

Francisco Javier Bautista, Jr. , better known by his stage name Frankie J, is a Mexican singer and former member of the musical group Kumbia Kings.... Born in Tijuana, he grew up in San Diego and became a freestyle artist under the stage name Frankie Boy in the late 1990s. After his debut freestyle album was shelved, he joined Kumbia Kings. Frankie J's solo debut album, What's a Man to Do, was released in 2003, followed by some more English and Spanish language albums. Bautista was born in Tijuana, Mexico and raised in San Diego, California from the age of 2, after his uncle brought him and his siblings to the United States. He grew up listening to both traditional Latin music as well as American urban music. He attended Southwest Senior High School in San Diego. He later began to develop more interest in singing, with the encouragement of his family. At high school age, he began participating in talent shows and performing at school functions. In 1997, Bautista signed with the now defunct Hola Recordings, the brainchild of dance music legend and producer Jellybean Benitez.
