The St. Louis Rams are a professional American football team based in St. Louis, Missouri. The NFL considers the franchise as a second incarnation of the previous Cleveland Rams team that was a charter member of the second American Football League. Although the NFL granted membership to the same owner, the NFL considers it a separate entity since only four of the players and none of the team's management joined the new NFL team. The team then became known as the Los Angeles Rams after the club moved to Los Angeles, California, in 1946, opting not to compete with Paul Brown's Cleveland Browns of the All-America Football Conference. Following the 1979 season, the Rams moved south to the suburbs in nearby Orange County, playing their home games at Anaheim Stadium in Anaheim for fifteen seasons , keeping the Los Angeles name.

Lake levels are healthy at 1,244 feet with a volume of 30,000 acre·ft that often fluctuate, although much has been done recently to prevent the lake from drying up, flooding, or becoming stagnant. At 1,255 feet , the lake will spill into the outflow channel on its northeastern shore, known properly as Temescal Wash, flowing northwest through Temescal Canyon feeding Aberhill Creek which joins Temescal Creek, which in turn dumps into the Santa Ana River just northwest of Corona. Lake Elsinore is the largest sag pond in the Elsinore Fault Zone. It sits in a basin bordered to the southwest and west by the Elsinore Mountains, which are a part of the larger Santa Ana Mountain Range.
