Trevor is a 1994 American short film directed by Peggy Rajski about a gay 13-year-old boy who, when rejected by friends because of his sexuality, makes an attempt to take his life. It tied for an Academy Award in 1995 for Best Short Subject with Franz Kafka's It's a Wonderful Life. Trevor inspired the founding of the The Trevor Project, a 24/7 crisis and suicide prevention helpline for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth.
