The Miami Dolphins are a professional American football team based in the Miami metropolitan area. The team is part of the Eastern Division of the American Football Conference in the National Football League . The Dolphins play home games at Sun Life Stadium in the northern suburb of Miami Gardens,... and have their headquarters in Davie, Florida. The Dolphins team was founded by attorney & politician Joe Robbie, and actor/comedian Danny Thomas. They began play in the American Football League in 1966. The region had not possessed a professional football team since the days of the Miami Seahawks, who played in the All American Football Conference in 1946 before becoming the first incarnation of the Baltimore Colts. For the first few years the Dolphins full-time training camp and practice facilities were at Saint Andrew's School, a private boys boarding prep school in Boca Raton. In 1970 the Dolphins joined the NFL when the AFL–NFL merger occurred. The team made its first Super Bowl appearance in Super Bowl VI, but lost to the Dallas Cowboys 24-3.

California State University, Fresno, often referred to as Fresno State University and synonymously known in athletics as Fresno State , is one of the 23 campuses comprising the California State University system, located at the northeast edge of Fresno, California, USA. The fall semester runs from late August through December. The spring semester runs from mid-January through mid-May. Fresno State was founded as the Fresno State Normal School in 1911 with Charles Lourie McLane as its first president. The original campus was what is now Fresno City College. In 1921, Fresno State Normal School became Fresno State Teachers College, and in 1934 it was renamed Fresno State College and adapted its official fight song "Fight! Varsity.

Lancaster is a charter city in northern Los Angeles County, in the high desert, near the Kern County line. Lancaster currently ranks as the 30th largest city in California, and the 148th largest city in the United States. Lancaster is the principal city within the Antelope Valley. It is listed by... According to the Greater Antelope Valley Economic Alliance report of 2009 the Palmdale / Lancaster, CA Urbanized Area has a population of 483,998. Long before white settlers arrived, Lancaster was originally home to the Piute Indians.
