University of Baltimore School of Law, or UB Law, is one of the three colleges that make up the University of Baltimore, which is part of the University System of Maryland. UB Law is one of only two law schools in the state of Maryland, the other law school being the University of Maryland School of Law; both of which are located in downtown Baltimore. UB law is located on the University of Baltimore's main campus in the Mt. Vernon cultural district. The school was founded in 1925 as a part-time evening program to provide legal educational opportunities to working professionals. In 1969, the... school established a full time program. The American Bar Association accredited UB Law in 1972. In 1975, UB Law became a public institution, and in 1988 it joined the University of Maryland System and the Association of American Law Schools For the Fall 2008 entering class, the acceptance rate was 38.7%. The median GPA was 3.29 and the median LSAT score was 155. In 2010, The University of Baltimore School of Law was promoted from a tier four to tier three law school by USNews and World Reports.
