The University of Idaho College of Law is the law school of the University of Idaho, with its main campus in Moscow and a third-year program in... Boise. The College of Law was established in 1909 and is the only law school located in the state of Idaho. It has been a member of the Association of American Law Schools since 1914 and has been accredited by the American Bar Association since 1925. The US News & World Report ranks Idaho in the Third Tier in its annual law school rankings. The College of Law in 2011-2012 had an enrollment of around 310 students, with an entering first-year class of roughly 135 students. As a public law school, it had approximately 60 percent of students come from Idaho, and the remaining 40 percent came from over 24 states and foreign countries. Over 70 undergraduate colleges and universities were represented. Minorities comprised 12.1 percent and women comprised 40.1 percent of students. The College of Law now has a second location in Boise.

Carol Ryrie Brink was an American author of over thirty juvenile and adult books. Her novel Caddie Woodlawn won the 1936 Newbery Medal. In 1958... Caddie Woodlawn won the Lewis Carroll Shelf Award. Born Caroline Ryrie, the only child of Alexander and Henrietta Ryrie, Brink was orphaned by age 8, and raised by her maternal grandmother, Caroline Watkins, the model for Caddie Woodlawn. Her grandmother's life and storytelling abilities inspired her writing at an early age. She started writing for her school newspapers and continued that in college. She attended the University of Idaho for three years before transferring to the University of California in 1917, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1918. On June 12 of that year, she married University of Minnesota instructor Raymond Woodard Brink, a young mathematics professor she had met in Moscow, Idaho. They made their home in St. Paul for forty-two years, where they raised a son and a daughter, spending summers in the Wisconsin backwoods, although they did travel for several years in Scotland and France.
