The University of Richmond School of Law , a school of the University of Richmond, is located in Richmond, Virginia. The Law School is fully... accredited by the recognized standardizing agencies in the United States. The University of Richmond School of Law is a member of the Association of American Law Schools; it is on the approved lists of the American Bar Association and the Virginia State Board of Bar Examiners; and its Juris Doctor degree is fully accredited by the Regents of the University of the State of New York. The University of Richmond campus can be found on 350 acres located about six miles west of the center of the city of Richmond, Virginia. The school was founded in 1870 as a college within the University of Richmond. In 1890, the family of the late T.C. Williams, a university trustee, donated $25,000 as the nucleus of an endowment for the law school. In recognition of this gift, the school was named The T.C. Williams School of Law in 1920. In recent years, the school has adopted the name "University of Richmond School of Law" in order to promote a unified identity for the university.

Not to be confused with Paul Krugman. Saul Krugman was a medical researcher who discovered a vaccine against hepatitis B. The son of Russian Jewish... immigrants, Krugman was born in the Bronx in 1911. He began his undergraduate studies at Ohio State University in 1929 and, after taking time off following his junior year to earn money so he could complete his studies, graduated from the University of Richmond in 1934. Dr. Krugman began his medical studies at the Medical College of Virginia and later went on to pursue research at the New York University . Krugman was the first to distinguish hepatitis A from hepatitis B and made great strides in describing their different characteristics and behaviors. While examining blood samples from patients with hepatitis at NYU, Krugman discovered that heating blood containing hepatitis B would kill the virus while preserving an antibody response when used as a vaccine. In a contentious set of experiments, live virus preparations were injected by Krugman and co-workers into pediatric inmates at the notoriously overcrowded Willowbrook State School in Staten Island, New York.

Edward Lynn Ayers is an American historian. He is the current president of the University of Richmond, having served in this capacity since July 1,... 2007. Prior to his appointment, he had been on the faculty of the University of Virginia since 1980, most recently as the Buckner W. Clay Dean of the College and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. In 1997, Ayers helped found the Virginia Center for Digital History and served as its director until 2001. Ayers also oversaw the Valley of the Shadow project and has long been an advocate of digital history. He serves on the editorial board of the Papers of Abraham Lincoln. In June 2008, Ayers and Brian Balogh and Peter Onuf, two former colleagues at the University of Virginia, began hosting a public radio call-in program called 'BackStory with the American History Guys'. Ayers received his Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from the University of Tennessee and his Master of Arts degree and Ph.D. in American Studies from Yale University.
