Since 1983, U.S. News & World Report Magazine compiles American college and university rankings. Although the method used for ranking criticized many times; it is very popular and very well known. In addition, the list receives millions of page views after its release. U.S. News & World Report publishes the rankings in the most popular areas of study aw well as their Top 100 lists.
