Waldis Joaquín de la Cruz is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Washington Nationals of Major League Baseball. Joaquín began his professional career in 2005 with the AZL Giants. He went 1–1 with a 3.64 ERA in 29 ⁄3 innings. He also struck out 37 batters. He did not play in 2006, but did play in 2007, for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, with whom he went 3–0 with a 2.84 ERA in 38 innings.
