Antonidas was the leader of the Kirin Tor in the fictional Warcraft Universe. Under his leadership a permanent alliance with Lordaeron was founded... and Dalaran gained significant power. The aged and wizened leader of the Kirin Tor, Antonidas became a powerful archmage through his seventy-one years of life. He fought to defend, and then to rebuild, the Violet Citadel during and after the Second War, and pledged an ever-faithful loyalty to Lordaeron. As time passed, failing health kept him from leaving the Violet Citadel. However, his protￃﾩgￃﾩ, Sorceress Jaina Proudmoore, kept him abreast of world events, and served as his eyes and ears in the Warcraft World, and mainly, Lordaeron. Antonidas, like many prominent figures in the Alliance, was met by the mysterious Prophet Medivh before the Invasion began. The Prophet warned him that he must journey west, but Antonidas was heedless, believing the Prophet to be nothing more than a fool and a madman. Despite Jaina's instinct about the Prophet, Antonidas instead chose to focus attention on the plague sweeping across the north.

In the fictional Warcraft universe, Anub'arak is the bodyguard of King Arthas in Northrend.He is also the king of Azjol-Nerub. Anub'arak debuted in... Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, in the Scourge campaign. Before joining the Scourge, he was a Nerubian living in the kingdom of Azjol-Nerub, up in the lands of Northrend. As the former King of Azjol-Nerub, Anub'arak was among the Nerubian slaughtered in the War of the Spider who were ritually mummified. When Azjol-Nerub was crushed and the surviving Nerubians scattered, Ner'zhul, the Lich King, raised the high lords of the spider kingdom as undead to do his bidding, and Anub'arak was among them. Now a malicious Crypt Lord, Anub'arak uses his powers to purge the snow swept landscape of any remaining resistance to the reign of the Lich King. Despite the pleas from his former subjects, he massacred many Nerubians who stood in his way. In the period leading up to Reign of Chaos, he also guided the then-human Kel'Thuzad to Naxxramas through a series of underground tunnels. During this time, Anub'arak commented that he was the one responsible for conquering the ziggurat for his master.

Arthas Menethil is a fictional character in the Warcraft universe, a fictional universe in which a series of games and books are set. Arthas Menethil... is the son of King Terenas king of Lordaeron, the northernmost Human kingdom, and is thus the crown prince of Lordaeron. He has a sister named Calia Menethil. Arthas was first introduced in the novel Day of the Dragon as a young boy. At the age of nineteen he was inducted into the Knights of the Silver Hand at the behest and with the sponsorship of the renowned paladin Uther Lightbringer. It is indicated in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne that he had once competed with Prince Kael'thas of the Elven Kingdom of Quel'Thalas to win the heart and hand of Jaina Proudmoore. Little else is known of Arthas during his younger years. At the beginning of the first part in the single-player campaign, Arthas is battling orcs when he hears of a mysterious plague in the north of Lordaeron. Arthas and Jaina Proudmoore journey northward in a desperate bid to outrace the plague, confronted at every step by a necromancer named Kel'Thuzad.

Balnazzar is a fictional character in the Warcraft universe a fictional universe in which a series of computer game and book are set. Balnazzar was a... mighty dreadlord in the fictional world of Azeroth, who was left in charge of Lordaeron when Archimonde and The Burning Legion traveled West to Kalimdor. When he received word of the Legion's fall, he took control of The North-Eastern Kingdoms until he was defeated and captured by the army of the Banshee Queen Sylvanas Windrunner. Sylvanas then ordered Balnazzar's brother, Varimathras, to kill him; after which Sylvanas' forces, with Varimathras as second in command, then took control of the region known as Tirisfal Glades. Balnazzar reappears in World of Warcraft as the true leader of the Scarlet Crusade's detachment in Stratholme. The members of the Crusade do not know that their leader is a dreadlord, as Balnazzar possessed the Paladin that leads them. In-game, players fight Dathrohan, who unexpectedly turns into Balnazzar when nearly defeated. The possible discontinuity of Balnazzar's survival is so far unexplained. In the game, he implies that he faked his own death.

Based in Fresno, California, the company was last owned by Activision, a subsidiary of Activision Blizzard. Sierra is best known today for its multiple lines... of seminal graphic adventure games started in the 1980s, many of which proved influential in the history of video games. The Sierra label was absorbed by its parent company. Some franchises that were published by Sierra will be published by Activision, which also announced in 2008 that it may sell the Sierra brand. Sierra Entertainment was founded in 1979 as On-Line Systems in Simi Valley, California, by Ken and Roberta Williams after the former, a programmer for IBM, bought an Apple II microcomputer with which he planned to use to develop a FORTRAN compiler for Apple computers. At the time, his wife Roberta Williams was playing text adventure games for the Apple II.

The two companies underwent a name change to Sambi Co., Ltd. in September 1981, while Capcom Co., Ltd. itself was first established on June 11, 1983, for the purpose of taking over the internal sales department. In January 1989, the old affiliate company Capcom Co., Ltd. merged with Sambi Co., Ltd., resulting in the current Japanese branch.
