We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story

Simon Wells is an English-American film director of animation and live-action films. He is the great grandson of famous author, H. G. Wells. Born in Cambridge, he attended De Montfort University where he studied audio-visual design. Upon graduating he found a job at Richard Williams's studio where... he animated commercials and other projects. Wells later supervised the animation on Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. Wells later became a member of Amblimation, a studio owned by Steven Spielberg, where he served as director on films such as An American Tail: Fievel Goes West, We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story and Balto. Wells was set to direct a sequel to Casper but the project was cancelled. After the closure of Amblimation Wells joined Dreamworks where he worked as storyboard artist on many animated projects, he also directed The Prince of Egypt which was nominated for an Annie Award. In 2002 he directed his first live-action film, a film adaptation of his great-grandfather's book The Time Machine. In 2011 he co-wrote and directed the box office failure Mars Needs Moms using motion-capture technology during the filming.

Phil Nibbelink is an American animator and film director as well as comic book writer and illustrator. He is a former member of Walt Disney Animation Studios. Nibbelink worked for ten years at Disney and was a directing animator on Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. Then he spent another ten years working... under Steven Spielberg as an animation director, working on such films as An American Tail: Fievel Goes West and Casper as animation director. He also directed an animated adaptation of the children's book We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story for Amblimation. He was working with Dick Zondag and the upcoming movie, Cats when it was cancelled do to the closing of the Amblimation studio in London. In recent years Nibbelink has turned his attention to independent filmmaking, cranking out not just one but three full-length animated features single-handedly. Romeo & Juliet: Sealed with a Kiss , an animated feature, was made entirely by Nibbelink. His most recent project is as storyboard artist on Wolverine and the X-Men. He is founder and owner of his own company, Phil Nibbelink Productions.

Donald Virgil "Don" Bluth is an American animator, video game designer and independent studio owner. He is best known for his departure from The Walt Disney Company in 1979 and his subsequent directing of animated films such as The Secret of NIMH , An American Tail , The Land Before Time , All... Dogs Go to Heaven , and Anastasia , as well as his involvement in the laserdisc game Dragon's Lair. He is also often credited for providing competition to Disney during the years leading up to the films that would make up the Disney Renaissance. Bluth was born in El Paso, Texas, the son of Emaline and Virgil Ronceal Bluth. His great-grandfather was Latter Day Saint leader Helaman Pratt, and politician Mitt Romney is his second cousin. At the age of six his family moved to Payson, Utah where he lived on a family farm. In 1954 at the age of 17 his family moved to Santa Monica, California, where he attended his final year of high school. Bluth attended Brigham Young University in Utah for one year and after got a job at The Walt Disney Company. He started in 1955 as an assistant to John Lounsbery for Sleeping Beauty.

Ralph Zondag is an animation director and storyboard artist of Dutch origin. Zondag studied animation at Sheridan College, Ontario, Canada from 1983 to 1984. He started his career at the Toronto-based Nelvana studio in working on projects like Strawberry Shortcake Meets the Berrykins, The Care... Bears Movie and the Ewoks and Droids cartoons. He later joined Sullivan Bluth Studios in Ireland and worked as animation director on The Land Before Time, in which he animated the characters Petrie and the Sharptooth, and All Dogs Go To Heaven. He also directed television commercials while working at Sullivan Bluth. In 1993 he made his directorial debut on the animated adaptation of We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story alongside his brother Dick. Zondag joined Walt Disney Feature Animation during the early 90s; he served as head of storyboards on Pocahontas in 1995. In 2000, he and directed Dinosaur as a part of the Disney Computer Graphics Unit. Zondag was nominated for Annie Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement for Directing in an Animated Feature Production. He has worked on projects like Rugrats Go Wild, Home on the Range, Balto 3: Wings of Change, Valiant and Curious George.
