Philips Memorial Hall is a building of West Chester University, in West Chester, Pennsylvania, United States, named after George M. Philips ,... originally opened in 1927. It is a contributing building in the West Chester State College Quadrangle Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. Designed by Walter F. Price, the exterior is fashioned from hammer-dressed Foxcroft Wissahickon schist, a local stone commonly used for buildings in the Collegiate Gothic style. Thanks to the support of Emily Kessel Asplundh '27 and others, preservation and renovations were completed in 1999. Special features include: the whispering archway; the distinctive gargoyles; coats of arms and figures of western civilization; the 2000-volume Philips Autographed Library; the 1200-seat Emily K. Asplundh Concert Hall; and the Presidential office suite.

Matthew McGrory was an American actor, known for his great height. McGrory was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He studied pre-law at Widener... University, where he resided in campus housing on the first floor of Howell Hall. He also studied Criminal Justice at West Chester University. McGrory grew to the height of 7 ft 6 in and had size 29.5 shoes. Due to his height, he was in demand to play roles in movies cast as a giant – he did so in films such as Bubble Boy, Big Fish, House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects and television shows including Malcolm in the Middle, Charmed, and Carnivàle. The Guinness Book of World Records also gave him the title of the tallest actor, the largest toe, and having the world's largest feet not caused by Elephantiasis – size 29½. He also featured in Marilyn Manson's music video "Coma White" and on the cover of Manson's VHS God is in the TV. He can also be seen on the Blondie's video for their 2003-hit "Good Boys." At the time of his death he was playing André the Giant in a film about the wrestler's life. He lived in Sherman Oaks, California, with his girlfriend Melissa.

Kyle Gallner is an American actor. He is possibly best known for his portrayal of Cassidy "Beaver" Casablancas in the Teen neo-noir television... series Veronica Mars, and for guest-starring in teen sci-fi drama Smallville as superhero Bart Allen, an adaptation of the character of The Flash and Impulse comic book. He is also well known for portraying Reed Garrett, Mac Taylor's stepson, on CSI: NY beginning in 2006, and for his roles in the horror films The Haunting in Connecticut, Jennifer's Body and the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street. Gallner was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He attended West Chester East High School. He started his career by following his sister along to one of her auditions. He proceeded to guest star on popular shows such as Judging Amy and Close to Home. Gallner joined the cast of Veronica Mars as Cassidy Casablancas toward the end of the show's first season, in May 2005 before becoming a season regular during the show's second season. In Veronica Mars, Gallner played the role of a young teenage boy, Cassidy "Beaver" Casablancas, the younger brother of Dick Casablancas. Very smart, he is often bullied by his brother.

Eric Bernotas is an American skeleton racer who has competed since 2002. He won three medals at the FIBT World Championships with two silvers and a... bronze . Bernotas competed in two Winter Olympics, earning his best finish of sixth in the men's skeleton event at Turin in 2006. His best overall seasonal Skeleton World Cup finish was second in the men's event in 2006-7. Bernotas earned a medical waiver to competed in the 2009-10 Skeleton World Cup season following a leg injury suffered during training. A native of West Chester, Pennsylvania, Bernotas has Tourette syndrome and has suffered through alcoholism and depression. In February 2006, he appeared on The 700 Club where he talked about being a Christian and how his faith plays into his sports career. He said, "God presented this opportunity to me,” Eric says. “I believe we all have desires and dreams about things we would like to do. I think wonderful things can be done with pursuing our dreams if we allow the Spirit to work within us.

Martin "Marty" O'Donnell is an American composer known for his work on video game developer Bungie's series, such as Myth, Oni, and Halo. O'Donnell... collaborates with his musical colleague Michael Salvatori for many of the scores; he has also directed voice talent and sound design for the Halo trilogy, and is currently Bungie's Audio Lead. O'Donnell began his music career writing television and radio jingles as well as scoring for radio and film. O'Donnell moved to composing video game music when his company, TotalAudio, did the sound design for the 1997 title Riven. After producing the music for Myth II, Bungie contracted O'Donnell to work on their other projects, including Oni and the code-named project that would become Halo: Combat Evolved. O'Donnell ended up joining the Bungie staff only ten days before the studio was bought by Microsoft, and has been the audio director for all Bungie projects since. O'Donnell's score to the Halo trilogy has been called iconic, earning him several awards, and the commercial soundtrack release of the music to Halo 2 became the best-selling video game soundtrack of all time in the United States.

Chuck Williams is an American professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, Rockin' Rebel. He is best known for his appearances on the U.S.... independent circuit with promotions such as Eastern Championship Wrestling and Combat Zone Wrestling. Williams trained as a professional wrestler under the Rock 'n' Roll Express , debuting in December 1988 as Rockin' Rebel. "ROCKIN' REBEL" is officially TRADEMARKED In 1990, Rockin' Rebel signed with the Philadelphia-based Tri-State Wrestling Alliance. While touring with the TWA, Rebel became the first Tri- State Champion and had memorable feuds with The Sandman, D.C. Drake, and C.N. Redd. He also teamed with Jimmy Jannetty to form The Confederacy. They became top contenders to the tag team titles and feuded with teams such as The Super Destroyers and The Blackharts. Despite its success, the TWA ceased operations abruptly in 1991. Rebel returned to the promotion in early 1993 after it had been renamed Eastern Championship Wrestling. Rockin' Rebel hit the independent circuit after leaving ECW in 1994. he had a brief stint in WCW and numerous dark matches with the then called WWF.

Matthew Paul Miller , better known by his Hebrew name and stage name Matisyahu, is an American reggae and alternative rock musician. Known for... blending traditional Jewish themes with reggae, rock and hip hop beatboxing sounds, Matisyahu's single "King Without a Crown" was a Top 40 hit in the United States. Since 2004, he has released three studio albums as well as two live albums, two remix CDs and two DVDs featuring live concerts. Through his career, Matisyahu has worked with Bill Laswell and reggae producers Sly & Robbie. Matisyahu was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania. His family eventually settled in White Plains in Westchester County, New York. He was brought up a Reconstructionist Jew, and attended Hebrew school at Bet Am Shalom, a synagogue in White Plains. He spent much of his childhood learning the various tenets of Judaism, but by the time he was a teenager, Matisyahu began to rebel against his upbringing. He started taking drugs and dropped out of White Plains High School. He became a self-professed "Phish-head," taking hallucinogens and following the rock band Phish on tour. He finished high school at a wilderness program in Bend, Oregon.
