Wii Sports

A Mii is a digital avatar used in the Nintendo Wii gaming console. They allow users to capture a likeness of themselves and others. After creating... one using the Wii's Mii Channel, they can be used as characters in Mii-oriented games such as Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, Wii Fit, Wii Fit Plus, Wii Play, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, Mario Kart Wii and certain Guitar Hero titles. Wii consoles can store up to 100 Miis, up to 10 of which can be favorites. The Wii Remote itself can hold up to 10 Miis on its internal memory, which can later be transferred to another Wii console. However, they can only be edited on the console on which they were created. In addition, Miis can also be exchanged via the WiiConnect24 service, whereby allowing a player's Miis to "mingle" will enable such Miis to appear on other people's Wii consoles. Users can also transfer Miis to supported Nintendo DS games. Miis are created through the Mii Channel on the Wii. After specifying a gender for your personalized Mii in question, the user can alter the shape of the Mii's head, its eyes, hair, eyebrows, nose, and mouth.

Shigeru Miyamoto is a Japanese video game designer and producer. Miyamoto was born and raised in the Kyoto Prefecture; the natural surroundings of Kyoto inspired much of Miyamoto's later work. He is mainly known for his work at the video game production company Nintendo, where he created some of the most successful video game franchises of all time, including Mario, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, Star Fox, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, and... F-Zero. He currently manages the Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development branch, which handles many of Nintendo's top-selling titles. Miyamoto's games have been seen on every Nintendo video game console, with his earliest work appearing on arcade machines. His games have received critical praise from many reviewers, and he has been the recipient of various awards. Miyamoto speaks little English, so a translator is usually needed for interviews and English speaking audiences. He has a wife, Yasuko, and has two children. Miyamoto was born in the Japanese town of Sonobe, Kyoto on November 16, 1952.

Generations website, the name Nintendo translated from Japanese to English means "Leave luck to Heaven". As of October 2, 2008, Nintendo has sold over 470 million hardware units and 2.7 billion software units. Nintendo was founded as a card company in late 1889, originally named Nintendo Koppai. Based in Kyoto, Japan, the business produced and marketed a playing card game called Hanafuda. The handmade cards soon became popular, and Yamauchi hired assistants to mass produce cards to satisfy demand.
