Wilmette

The Chicago and Northwestern Depot is a former railway station in Wilmette, Illinois, which has been on the National Register of Historic Places... since 1975. The station served the Chicago and North Western Railway along what is now Metra's Union Pacific/North Line. It was built in 1873 as a passenger station and became a freight station in the 1890s before closing in 1946. The station was relocated to its current location on June 13, 1974, and has since been remodeled as a restaurant. The depot has been called "Wilmette's most historic building," and the Chicago Sunday Times referred to the station as "the finest station on the entire line" upon its opening. The first railroad depot in Wilmette was built in 1870-71 for $700 by a group of landowners hoping to develop the area. As well as being used as a railroad depot, this original depot was used for local elections, including the referendum on the incorporation of Wilmette in 1872. This depot burned down, and residents built the Chicago and Northwestern Depot in 1873. The depot was built to be fireproof and cost $3,400, which was donated by ten residents.

The Bahá'í House of Worship in Wilmette, Illinois, is the oldest surviving Baha'i House of Worship in the world, and the only one in the... United States. In 1903, a small group of Bahá'ís in downtown Chicago first discussed the idea of a Bahá'í House of Worship in the Chicago area. At the time, the world's first House of Worship was being built in Ashgabat, in what is now Turkmenistan. A Bahá'í from Chicago named Corrine True traveled to Palestine in 1907 to visit Abdu'l-Baha, the leader of the faith, and tell him of the growing interest in a local house of worship. Abdu'l-Baha gave his blessing to the project, but recommended that the structure be built away from the Chicago business district, in a more quiet area near Lake Michigan. The Bahá'ís considered building the temple in Chicago's Jackson Park or the suburb of Evanston, but eventually settled on the Grosse Pointe area in Wilmette, Illinois, just north of Evanston. They began purchasing land for the temple in 1908. Bahá'ís from around the world gradually raised funds to pay for the project.

Three of his siblings are actors: John Murray, Joel Murray and Brian Doyle-Murray.

While young she moved with her parents to Valsjöbyn, Jämtlands län, which she later described as a small town "of lumberjacks and farmers high up near the Arctic Circle". Her father worked in the United States during his youth and moved there again in 1942, working with the Johnson Electrical Company, while his wife and daughter stayed behind. Ann-Margret and her mother moved to the United States in November 1946, and her father took her to Radio City Music Hall on the day they arrived. They settled just outside of Chicago in Wilmette, Illinois.

He served as senior advisor to President Bill Clinton from 1993 to 1998 and as a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Illinois's 5th congressional district, from 2003 until his resignation in 2009 to take his position in the Obama Administration. Emanuel was chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee during the 2006 mid-term elections and remained a top strategist for House Democrats during the 2008 cycle. After Democrats regained control of the House in 2006, Emanuel was elected chairman of the Democratic Caucus. This made him the fourth-ranking House Democrat, behind Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Majority Whip Jim Clyburn. Two days after Obama's election victory, Emanuel was announced as Obama's designee for White House Chief of Staff. He resigned from the House on January 2, 2009, and began his duties as Chief of Staff on January 20, 2009, the day of Obama's inauguration.

Barry Horowitz is an American professional wrestler, best known for his time in the World Wrestling Federation. Horowitz, who is Jewish, attended... Florida State University, where he studied sports nutrition and wrestled. After graduating, he trained as a professional wrestler under Boris Malenko in Tampa, Florida for 18 months and debuted in 1979 on the Floridian independent circuit. He went on to work for the World Wide Wrestling Federation, Jim Crockett, Sr.'s NWA Mid-Atlantic promotion, and promotions in Canada and Puerto Rico. Horowitz eventually joined Championship Wrestling from Florida as "Jack Hart". On July 23, 1985 in Tampa, Horowitz defeated Mike Graham in a tournament final to win the vacant NWA Florida Heavyweight Championship. He held the title until September 2, 1985, when he lost to Kendall Windham. He remained in CWF for two years, and was managed by heels such as Percy Pringle and Sir Oliver Humperdink. After wrestling in Memphis as "Stretcher" Jack Hart, Horowitz joined the World Wrestling Federation in 1987.

Joel Murray is an American actor who has starred in film and on television. Murray, one of nine children, was born and raised in Wilmette, Illinois... , the son of Lucille , a mail room clerk, and Edward Joseph Murray II, a lumber salesman. Murray, along with his siblings, grew up in an Irish Catholic family. He is the brother of actors Bill Murray, Brian Doyle-Murray, and John Murray. A sister, Nancy, is an Adrian Dominican Sister in Michigan who travels around the country portraying St. Catherine of Siena. In high school, at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois, Joel was a captain of the football team as well as lead in the musical. His career began in Chicago, where he performed at various improvisational theaters, including the Improv Olympic, the Improv Institute and The Second City. Joel starred in the 1990 series Grand, the 1991 comedy series Pacific Station, the 1992 comedy series Love & War as Ray Litvak, and the ABC series Dharma & Greg as Peter James "Pete" Cavanaugh. Joel provided his voice for the short-lived 1994 series Beethoven and the TV series 3-South.

He has one brother named Rocco who is a filmmaker and photographer. Tortorella has a small supporting role as Tobias in the 2010 Joel Schumacher movie Twelve. In June 2010, he was cast in a lead role of Trevor for the slasher film Scream 4., which was released on April 15, 2011. He was set to star in the independent film The Lowenfish Party, but the film was cancelled.
