Wilmore is a city in Jessamine County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 6,134 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Lexington–Fayette Metropolitan Statistical Area. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.6 square miles , all of it land. Wilmore has two institutions of higher learning: Asbury Universityformerly Asbury College and Asbury Theological Seminary. While both are named after Francis Asbury, they are separate institutions.
