Battle Kommand Records is an American underground record label founded by Blake Judd and Rebecca Clegg in 2004, based in St. Charles, Illinois. The company's stated intent is "to bring some of the world's most extreme music to the world's most extreme audiences." BKR has thus far concentrated on... extreme metal genres such as black, doom and Death metal, as well as more experimental forms of noise rock and ambient music. The label is the home of Judd's bands Nachtmystium and Twilight, and has released records by Krieg, Leviathan, N.I.L., Sapthuran, and Xasthur, among others. Battle Kommand Records merged with Candlelight Records in January 2009.

Hydra Head Records is an independent record label which specializes in heavy metal music, founded in New Mexico by Aaron Turner in 1993. It has two imprints; Hydra Head Noise Industries, which specialises in experimental and noise music, and another entitled Tortuga Records. Hydra Head was founded... in 1993 as a distribution company while Turner was still in high school. In 1995, he moved to Boston to attend art school. In late 1995, he was handed a demo by local band Vent. That seven inch would be the first record released on Hydra Head. The label grew to accommodate local bands such as Roswell, Corrin, Piebald and Converge, and after Turner graduated from college in 1999, it became a full-time endeavour. Hydra Head recently relocated to Los Angeles, California from their former home in Boston, Massachusetts. Some of the bands signed to the label include Cave In, Xasthur, Kayo Dot, Boris, and Jesu. Its discography includes Botch, Khanate, and Harkonen, who were all signed to Hydra Head prior to their respective disbandings.

Displeased Records is a Dutch independent record label, founded by Lars Eikema and Ron Veltkamp. The label has many Dutch and other extreme metal bands on its roster, but has also rereleased many classic albums, including albums by Agathocles , Cryptopsy, Infernäl Mäjesty, Sadus, Toxik... and Whiplash. The label also has a large mail order division called Discorder.com. Displeased Records was founded in 1993 by Lars Eikema and Ron Veltkamp. In the beginning the main focus was to release compilation CDs from unknown/unsigned artists playing all types of heavy metal, like death metal, thrash metal, etc. After a distribution network was set up Displeased Records started releasing studio albums of metal acts like Nembrionic, Altar, Hybernoid and Celestial season. In the same period a mail order was erected, in the beginning under the same moniker of the label name, later changed to Dis-order . Since 2011 changed the name to Discorder. From the second half of the 90s, Displeased Records licensed cult thrash metal albums from Roadrunner records, from bands like Infernal Majesty, Pestilence, Whiplash, Toxik and Sadus.
