Jerry Yang is an Internet Entrepreneur and the co-founder, former CEO, and "Chief Yahoo" of Yahoo! Inc. Born in Taipei, Taiwan on November 6, 1968, Yang moved to San Jose, California at the age of ten with his mother and younger brother. His father died when Yang was two. He claimed that despite... his mother being an English teacher, he only knew one English word on his arrival. Becoming fluent in three years, he was placed into an AP English class. Yang graduated from Sierramont Middle School and Piedmont Hills High School. Yang went on to earn a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Stanford University, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. While Yang studied in Electrical Engineering at Stanford, he co-created in April 1994 with David Filo an Internet website called "Jerry and Dave's Guide to the World Wide Web" consisting of a directory of other websites. It was renamed "Yahoo!" . Yahoo! became very popular, and Yang and Filo realized the business potential and co-founded Yahoo! Inc.

Roy J. Bostock is an American businessman and has served as chairman of Yahoo! Inc. since January 2008. He also serves on the boards of directors of... Morgan Stanley and Delta Air Lines. From 2000 to 2001 he served as chairman of the advertising firm BCom3 Group, Inc. He is the chairman of the Partnership for a Drug-Free America and a former trustee of Duke University. Bostock is a 1962 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Duke, where he was an English Literature major and a member of the varsity baseball and football teams. Bostock also received an MBA from Harvard Business School. Bostock joined Benton & Bowles in 1964. Following the merger and subsequent creation of D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles in 1985, Bostock served as President of the combined company. From 1990 to 1996, he served as Chairman and CEO of the company. He also served was Chairman and CEO of the McManus Group from from 1996 to 2000 and Chairman of B/Com3 from 2000 to 2002. Mr. Hippeau has been involved in various capacities with SoftBank Capital’s investing activities since 1995, and joined SoftBank Capital in... 2000 from SoftBank’s former subsidiary, Ziff-Davis. He has served as a media industry CEO, having spent over 25 years in senior management positions at large media companies. Mr. Hippeau joined Ziff-Davis in 1989, and he became Chairman and CEO in 1993. In 1995, SoftBank acquired Ziff-Davis, and Mr. Hippeau continued in the role of CEO until 2000, when the company was sold. During his career at Ziff-Davis, Mr. Hippeau was early to recognize the trend toward on-line media. Under his stewardship, ZDNet became one of the few successful examples of a strong on-line business model evolving from traditional magazine content, and he was instrumental in SoftBank’s first investment in Yahoo! in 1995. Mr. Hippeau was also responsible for founding ZDTV, a cable channel dedicated to technology and the Internet, and an early success in integrating television and the Web. He also directed several successful magazines and marketing service launches in the technology and Internet field. Mr. Hippeau was President of SoftBank International Ventures, where he established SoftBank’s international private equity funds and expanded them into Europe, Latin America and Asia. He was also SB Capital’s board representative for its direct investments in industry leading companies, such as Yahoo!, Geocities and CNET. His experience prior to joining Ziff-Davis includes senior executive positions at International Data Group. Mr. Hippeau serves on the boards of several public and private companies, including Yahoo!, Danger, Insider Pages, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Perpetual Entertainment, Beliefnet, Goodmail Systems, Huffington Post.com, PureVideo, ThumbPlay and Associated Content. Michael Moritz is a Welsh-American venture capitalist with Sequoia Capital in Menlo Park, California in Silicon Valley, and a former member of the... board of directors of Google Inc. Moritz was born in Cardiff, Wales. He was educated at Howardian High School in Cardiff before moving on to Christ Church, Oxford, where he graduated as a Master of Arts in history. In 1978, he received a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Moritz joined Sequoia in 1986 after working as a reporter for Time, writing the 1984 book The Little Kingdom: the Private Story of Apple Computer, and co-authoring "Going for Broke: The Chrysler Story" . After leaving Time, Moritz co-founded Technologic Partners, a technology newsletter and conference company. His internet company investments include Google, Yahoo!, PayPal, Apple Computer, Cisco, Webvan, YouTube, eToys, and Zappos. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of 24/7 Customer, Gamefly, Green Dot Corporation, Kayak.com, Klarna, LinkedIn and Sugar Inc.
