You Don't Know Jack is a 2010 television film directed by Barry Levinson and starring Al Pacino as Jack Kevorkian, based in part on the book, "Between the Dying and the Dead: Dr. Jack Kevorkian's Life And The Battle To Legalize Euthanasia". The film was shot in the New York boroughs of Queens, Staten Island and Brooklyn, as well as Detroit, Michigan, and surrounding areas . At the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards, Al Pacino won an Emmy and also won a Golden Globe in 2011 for his role as Kevorkian. The film was also nominated for Outstanding Made for Television Movie at the Emmys. A look at the life... and work of physician-assisted suicide advocate Jack Kevorkian. Jack introduces a new idea of doctor assisted suicide. His aim is to help the hopeless patients who are suffering pain to commit suicide effortlessly. The film was nominated for 15 Emmys and won two: Outstanding Lead Actor in a Movie or Mini-Series for Al Pacino, and Outstanding Writing for a Movie or Mini-series for Adam Mazer. Al Pacino also won a Golden Globe and a SAG Award for his performance.
