The Basilica–Cathedral of Our Lady of the Pillar is a Roman Catholic church in the city of Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain. The Basilica venerates... Blessed Virgin Mary, under her title Our Lady of the Pillar praised as Mother of the Hispanic Peoples by Pope John Paul II. It is reputed to be the first church dedicated to Mary in history. Local traditions take the history of this basilica to the dawn of Christianity in Spain attributing to an apparition to Saint James the Great, the apostle who had brought Christianity to the country. This is the only known apparition of Mary to have occurred before her Assumption. Many of the kings of Spain, many other foreign rulers and saints have paid their devotion before this statue of Mary. Saint John of the Cross, Saint Teresa of Avila, Saint Ignatius of Loyola, and Blessed William Joseph Chaminade are among the most outstanding ones. The Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar is one of two minor basilicas in the city of Zaragoza, and is co-cathedral of the city alongside the nearby La Seo Cathedral.

Enrique Ortiz de Landázuri Izardui , born August 11, 1967 is a Spanish rock singer-songwriter. Bunbury was born in Zaragoza, Spain. He got... involved in music in the early 1980s, making his debut in a high school band called Apocalipsis, and later played along with Proceso Entrópico. In 1984, Bunbury joined a group called Zumo de Vidrio, debuting as a lead vocalist. After adopting the nickname of Bunbury, taken from the Oscar Wilde stage play The Importance of Being Earnest, the musician teamed up with Héroes del Silencio, becoming a major number in the Hispanic rock scene. The band eventually broke up in 1996 and Bunbury started his solo career in 1997 with a electro-rock album, Radical Sonora with his new band: Copi , Del Moran , Ramon Gacias and former Héroes del Silencio guitarist Alan Boguslavsky. Recognized by his wish to always reinvent himself, Bunbury released in 1999 the album Pequeño, which sounded very different from anything he did before.

Lorenza Pilar García Seta was a Spanish soprano who used the professional name Pilar Lorengar. She was best known for her interpretations of... opera and the Spanish genre Zarzuela, and as a soprano she was known for her full register, a youthful timbre as well as a distinctive vibrato. Pilar was born in the El Gancho district of Zaragoza. At a very young age she participated in a radio program called Ondas Infantiles, organized by Radio Zaragoza; she began formal music lessons at the age of fourteen under Margarita Martínez. She moved to Barcelona to study at the Barcelona Music Conservatory and began performing incognito under the name Loren Arce in various halls in order to pay for her lessons. She studied in Madrid under Spanish lyric soprano Ángeles Otein, and she also studied in West Berlin with Carl Ebert and mezzo-soprano Hertha Klust, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau's teacher. Pilar became a member of the chorus of the Teatro de la Zarzuela around 1949. She made her professional debut in 1950 in Oran, Algeria, playing the role of Maruxa.

Eva María Amaral Lallana is a Spanish singer-songwriter, and member of the group Amaral with Juan Aguirre. She studied sculpture studies at the... Art School of Zaragoza. During this time, she was a member of the band Bandera Blanca, where she was the drummer. In 1993, she met the guitarist Juan Aguirre, who was a member of the band Días De Vino Y Rosas. Together, they created the group Amaral. They moved to Madrid and later signed a contract with Virgin Records. They have recorded 6 successful studio albums and have performed as tour support for Lenny Kravitz's Spanish concerts. Their song Rosa de la Paz was included in a record to support Prestige boat victims, also performing at the Nunca Máis demonstration in Madrid. Moby performs along with Eva Amaral on the song "Escapar", the Spanish version of the Amaral song "Slipping Away". Beto Cuevas, front man with the Chilean band "La Ley" joins Amaral on their song "Te Necesito". Pajaros En La Cabeza is their most famous album.

Born in Zaragoza on November 13, 1980, he started to show his interest in music as a child. Son of a commercial agent and a cook, he studied music... theory and piano. He loves running but, above all, singing. Before entering Operación Triunfo he worked as a waiter in the weekends at a theater of the Aragonese capital, but has always wished to devote himself to music. One of his idols is Mariah Carey. His big opportunity arrived in 2006 with the TV singing contest Operación triunfo In 2006, Dani attended the auditions for this TV show at Barcelona, where he passed all the tests until he was admitted as one of the 20 finalists who would perform on Gala 0 of Operation Triumph with presenter Jesús Vázquez. From the very beginning Dani stood out among his mates at the Academy for his sweet voice, singing Pop music and Ballads, with numbers like "Otra Vez", by Coti and Paulina Rubio, "Unchained Melody", by the Righteous Brothers, "Last Christmas" by George Michael, "Blue Velvet” by Bobby Vinton or "Me & Mrs. Jones" by Billy Paul, among others. Dani finished in second place, ahead of Leo and only a few votes behind Lorena Gómez, winner of the contest.
